The beta registration program of the Starlink project, where Elon Musk offers internet service from space, has been opened. You can send a request for registration to the beta program by typing your e-mail address and location on the official website.

We have told you many times about the developments of SpaceX's Starlink project before. Finally, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced that Starlink could reach the final stage in Europe in February or March.

Now, a form has been opened on Starlink's official website to participate in the beta program. You can send a request by simply typing in the e-mail address and service address location. Starlink notifies you by sending an e-mail when it starts serving in that region .

Starlink beta registration started

Those who follow the developments about Starlink will remember, Elon Musk's promises with Starlink were quite big. However, since there are still satellites sent to space and ground stations installed, it is not possible to say that they are operating in full capacity and efficiently. That's why beta goes as Better Than Nothing Beta , better than nothing beta .

Starlink offers data rates between 50 MB / s and 150 MB / s in the current beta process and a latency between 20 and 40 ms. It is also stated that short-term internet connection drops may also occur.

It is stated that as more satellites are launched into space and more ground stations are established, there will be great changes in data speed and latency, while in the summer of 2021, the latency will decrease to between 16 ms and 19 ms .

50 MB / s and 150 MB / sec data rate between, hardly appealing to many users in the US and Europe but not quite impressive to many users in Turkey. Speed Test the speed wired internet in Turkey in December 2020 compared to the global average index of 28.89 MB / s. That is not exactly efficient functioning Starlink , in Turkey 2 times the average data rate can provide.

Starlink's price is a bit disappointing at this point. A fee of $ 499 is paid in the US to have the Starlink Kit, and a monthly price of $ 99 is required.
